A Knox County school campus could soon benefit a cell phone carrier.
Last year, U.S. Cellular asked officials if they could lease a space on the Farragut High School campus to install a cell tower or antenna.
Wednesday night, the board of Education is talking about whether to move forward.
After the request, school officials looked into possible legal, health and aesthetic issues. No legal or health concerns came up.
Farragut does have a zoning restriction that would have to be changed, if U.S. Cellular were to put a tower on the school's campus.
