Tennessee Democratic leaders say they plan to talk to Governor Haslam about expanding pre-kindergarten classes.

This comes after the state's education commissioner announced he doesn't plan to request funding for an expansion. The move would cost at least $2 million.

Tennessee's voluntary pre-k program has not been expanded since 2008.
