People lined Rutledge Pike for Granger County's Veterans Day Parade on Saturday.
The American Legion Post 119 organized the parade, which featured bands, army vehicles and plenty of patriots.
After the parade, the group held a special Veterans Day program at Rutledge Middle School.
William Dider, a retire navy soldier, told 10News he appreciates events that support the troops.
"When I was in the Navy, they didn't treat military people very well when they came back from overseas," said Dider. "They were treated like they were... they just didn't want to be around them. And now they're treating them right, so it means a lot to me to support the guys that are coming back."
A number of Veterans Day events are scheduled on Sunday, including a parade in Gatlinburg and a concert at the Clayton Center for the Arts at Maryville College.
