Dozens of union workers picketed outside the Merita Bread Bakery off Clinton Highway on Sunday night and started up again on Monday.
This is part of a nationwide union workers strike against Hostess Brands, which includes Merita Bread. Workers said they're outraged over a new contract that would force pay cuts and reductions to pensions and benefits. These cuts could reduce wages and benefits by 27-to-32 percent.
Hostess is currently in bankruptcy and said workers need to accept cuts to the keep the company in business.
