Singer-songwriter Wade Hayes will appear in Knoxville to perform a benefit concert for the American Cancer Society on November 15 at 6 p.m. at Tin Roof. Tickets are $10 at the door and all proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. The concert is presented by Q93 - Today's Continuous Country.
Less than one year ago, Hayes was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. After successful surgery and chemotherapy, Hayes was inspired to write a song, "Is It Already Time," about his ordeal. Friends of Hayes, many of whom helped launch his career in the mid-1990's, have donated time and talent to help with the promotion and distribution of the single for a common purpose: supporting cancer research.
The concert will benefit the American Cancer. Society-funded research has led to improved understanding regarding the link between diet and colorectal cancer, and the development of drugs to treat colorectal cancer. In addition, the Society and its advocacy affiliate, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action NetworkSM, are working to ensure that all Americans who need colorectal cancer testing and treatment have access to them.
