Hundreds gathered on Thursday to help raise money for a foundation that helps hundreds of East Tennessee children. The Emerald Youth Foundation held its annual legacy dinner.
The foundation provides faith, education and sports programs to more than 1,200 inner city children, teens and young adults.
At Thursday's event, the group honored Home Federal Bank CEO Dale Keasling with the Emerald Youth Legacy Award. The award honors community leaders for their integrity, leadership and commitment to youth.
"Dale is a true servant leader. He has given so much back to this community over the years, and he has a special heart for young people, and he's been very generous in his time and in his contributions to Emerald Youth Foundation," said Chairman Rick Johnson.
More than 800 people attended the event. All proceeds benefit the Emerald Youth Foundation.
