The TSSAA Board of Control approved the proposed changes to the district alignment and added a few extra changes on Thursday.

The original proposal called for Tellico Plains to move from District 3-A to District 5-A, but the board decided to keep them in 3-A with Grace Christian and other area schools.

District 4-AA will see a shake-up with Stone Memorial moving up to Class AAA and Loudon being shipped to District 5-AA. Knoxville Catholic, dropping down a class, will join District 4-AA which already features Knoxville area powers Alcoa and CAK.

Loudon was to stay in District 4 according to the initial proposal but during the approval process the board decided to move the Redskins to District 5.

Class AAA was approved as previously proposed. Gibbs will move up a class and join District 3-AAA with the likes of Powell, Oak Ridge and Anderson County.

Hardin Valley completes the puzzle, moving out of District 3-AAA to make room for Gibbs, and taking up residence in the District 4-AAA slot that was vacated by Catholic.

Anderson County's appeal of its enrollment figure was denied.
