The Tennessee Valley Fair is over but it's still giving back to the community.
Tuesday morning the fair presented a nearly $6,000 check to the Love Kitchen founders, Helen Ashe and Ellen Turner, who are also sisters.
During one day in early September, $1 from each wristband sold went toward this donation. Food City also donated additional money to the effort.
The Love Kitchen mission is to feed Knoxville's homeless and homebound.
"I just wanna thank everybody that was involved for what they do because they are touching the hearts of so many less fortunate people and they're helping us to keep doing this," said Ashe.
