RAM collecting items to take to victims of Sandy

A local medical clinic that offers free care to thousands of patients is now planning to help the victims of Superstorm Sandy.

Remote Area Medical is joining several other local groups to bring food and supplies to victims in New Jersey. RAM hopes to fill a 53-foot truck full of items.

Between now and Sunday, you can help by donating non-perishable food items, baby diapers, baby food, paper towels, cleaning supplies and hygiene items. It's can be dropped off at the Big Emory Baptist Association in Harriman from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Sunday.

The truck full of supplies will leave East Tennessee for New Jersey on Monday.
