East Tennesseans have plenty to say following the conclusion of Vanessa Coleman's retrial in relation to the murders of Channon Christian and Chris Newsom.
Many people did not buy the argument Coleman was just a bystander in the house where Christian Newsom murders occurred.
"The house wasn't that big," said Knoxville resident Gypsy Finley. "There's no way that she could have been in that home and not known what was going on."
Knoxville resident Jo Niedens took it one step further. She said it was clear Coleman made a decision as to what to do the night Christian and Newsom died.
"She had a choice to walk away and she didn't take that choice," she said.
Throughout the retrial, however, many East Tennesseans were thinking about one thing: the Christian and Newsom families. Numerous people made it a point to tell 10News Tuesday they want to support each family during this time.
"I really feel sorry for the families to have to go back through that," said Knoxville resident Robert Cox.
