Wednesday was the busiest travel day for Thanksgiving motorist across the United States.

AAA predicted more than 950,000 Tennesseans would travel by automobile this Thanksgiving. That number is 1% higher than last year.
More than 29,000 Tennesseans are flying to their destination, which is 1% fewer from 2011.
AAA said 36% of all Thanksgiving travelers nationwide will return home Sunday.
