A wreck involving injuries was blocking traffic on I-75 just inside the Kentucky state line Wednesday night, Kentucky officials reported.
The crash was reported at 6:18pm between Jellico and Williamsburg, according to Kentucky State Police.
All lanes of the highway were blocked each direction following the wreck, but were back open before 11 p.m.
Authorities say a van was going south when it swerved to miss another vehicle and started to roll. All five passengers of the van were thrown out.
The empty van continued rolling into the northbound lanes, where a semi crashed into it.
No one in the truck was hurt.
Helicopters flew four patients from the van to hospitals. The fifth person was taken by ambulance.
No word yet on their conditions.
