"Visit Knoxville" welcomed new board members at their monthly meeting on Monday.
The group is responsible for marketing Knox County and the City of Knoxville.
"Visit Knoxville" was formerly known as "The Knoxville Tourism and Sports Corporation."
After a 10News investigation into the group's spending on salaries earlier this year, President and CEO, Gloria Ray, retired.
Later, the board voted to change its name to "Visit Knoxville."
The new board consists of six people appointed by the county and three by the city.
The new board must now pick two more people.
Monday, they approved their new 2013 budget for a little more than $3.2 million.
President, Kim Bumpas, talked about the future of the group, "It's exciting. This is a great time to be a part of tourism in Knoxville, Tennessee. Because "Visit Knoxville" is going to do things that we just haven't seen in the past and that is an exciting thing. As a Knoxville community minded person we all love Knoxville."
"Visit Knoxville" is currently coming up with a new strategic marketing plan for the region. They hope to unveil the plans this spring.
