Two East Tennessee high school football teams celebrated their state championship wins Monday.
The Warriors defeated Milan 48 - 14 Friday in Cookeville. This was the second-straight state title for CAK.
The CAK team gathered for dinner at a teammate's house to celebrate its win over Milan. During the dinner, the seniors helped design their state championship ring.
CAK head coach Rusty Bradley says this group of seniors has established a legacy.
"They're a group that's been very special. I'm very close with those guys. And they're very competitive, they love football," said Bradley. "With what's happened the last two years, they've had a huge part in the climate and the culture of the program they've helped establish."
Major celebrations were also in order for the Fulton Falcons, who scored a state championship win as well.
Students attended a special pep rally at Fulton High School in the team's honor Monday.
Fulton took home the win over a previously undefeated Convington team. The Falcons scored the Class 4-A State Title with a 38-14 victory.
