Pigeon Forge reported September was a good month for business.
According to a release from the city's tourism department director, business activity was "brisk" in September. Typically September can be a lull between the summer vacation and the fall foliage seasons.
But a lull was not the case this year. The lodging sector brought in more than $18 million for that month alone. Restaurant revenue was up by three percent from September 2011. Amusement business brought in 15 percent more revenue compared to the same month last year.
