A fire on Joppa Mountain in Grainger County is under control.
Officials say the fire started yesterday, and about 200 acres has burned. It is located between Blaine and Rutledge.
State Division of Forestry firefighters are fighting the fire. Nathan Waters with the Forestry division says that fire lines have been created around the blaze, which he describes as a smoky, smoldering fire. There's been little rain, but there's also no wind, which keeps the fire from racing out of control. Structures around the base of the mountain on Joppa Mountain Road are also protected by fire lines.
