The Knox County Board of Education passed a plan Wednesday evening that will change where hundreds of students will be zoned to go to school next year.

A new elementary school in southwest Knox County, built to help relieve overcrowding in the district, means new zoning lines for students.

Board members voted in support of Superintendent Dr. Jim McIntyre's zoning proposal.  He developed the plan after months of gathering input at parent and community meetings.
