It seems everyone has something to say about the coaching search -- whether it's in person or on social media.

Ben Patterson, a senior who said he should be getting ready for final exams, was reading the latest rumors about whether Charlie Strong would leave Louisville to take the head football coaching job at UT.

"It's definitely been more active as there's more coaching vacancies around the SEC," Patterson said.

Fans said finding out the latest information though Twitter has been more predominant this time around compared to 2010, when UT hired Derek Dooley.

As more journalists tweet the latest information, Patterson reminds fans that one needs to wade through the Twitterverse with caution.

"It's definitely the rumor mill. Like anything else, you have to sort through what's true and what's not true," Patterson added.

"A lot of it depends on who you're listening to," added freshman Wray Nicholson. "You have some random people tweet what they may have heard and wonder where it's coming from."

Twitter hashtags popped up Wednesday, including #UTStrong for former candidate Charlie Strong, and #BringBackPhil for former UT coach Phil Fulmer.

Also opinions on who else could coach the Vols have been popping up.

Nicholson tweeted one opinion... "They should hire me... I'd cost a lot less."
