It's back to square one for the University of Tennessee in their search for a new football coach.
On Wednesday, all the focus was on Louisville coach Charlie Strong, and all indications were that he was the right guy for the job, however, Strong elected to stay at Louisville. He held a press conference Thursday morning outlining his reasons for staying at Louisville. He talked a lot about loyalty being very important to him, and that was one of the big reasons he would not leave.
Volquest.com is reporting that Hart is likely meeting Thursday morning with his executive staff and developing a game plan to restart the search.
Sources say Hart did talk to North Carolina coach Larry Fedora on Tuesday, before all the focus turned to Strong, so he is the only name still "out there" from the past week or so as a possibility.
