A West Knoxville restaurant is reopening more than a week after a fire damaged the building, and they are offering a special thank you to area firefighters.
Investigators believe someone deliberately set the fire at the Texas Roadhouse on Morrell Road, near West Town Mall, on November 27. The entrance and lobby area were damaged by fire, and much of the interior had smoke and water damage.
After completing repairs, the restaurant is reopening on Friday, December 7 at 11:00 am.
To show their appreciation for the efforts of local firefighters, the restaurant will donate 10% of all gift card sales and food sales to the Knoxville Firefighters Association all day. Local firefighters are also invited for a free lunch at 11:00 a.m., when the restaurant reopens.
There is a reward offered to find out who started the fire.
