Since bright and early Friday morning, Big Orange Country has been buzzing about the Vols new head coach, Butch Jones.
From social media to the UT Campus, fans have had a lot to say.
There has been a lot of anger and a lot of praise, which is the mixed reaction many expected.
This morning, 10News saw Twitter and Facebook ignite with comments about Butch Jones and the coaching change.
Students on campus had a lot to say. One student said he was upset about the hiring process and said he thought UT Athletic Director, Dave Hart, didn't do enough to squelch the John Gruden rumors. However, he was excited about Jones and the fact he wants to be a Volunteer.
Other students were pumped for the new coach and said they had faith in his coaching ability.
Freshman, Aaron Chubb, said, "I'm excited. I think it is going to bring a lot to UT. I think the football team is going to be exceptional. I think it might take a few years to build up the winning streak and really get going, but once we do I think UT will become a team to worry about because we are coming and we are going to win some championships."
Senior, Rayvis Cusi, explained, "I dont know if they really handled it that well. I think Dave Hart should have gone out and got a search committee going instead of handling it himself."
