When Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott decided to announce her pregnancy on Friday, she did it the new-fashioned way: via Twitter.
"Chris & I are excited to announce that our Christmas gift has arrived a little early this year!" the singer tweeted. "We are having a BABY! We feel so blessed!!!
Scott, 26, married Love and Theft lead drummer Chris Tyrrell on January 7. The two met in 2010 on Tim McGraw tour.
Scott isn't used to getting presents quite this early. She told USA TODAY her annual tradition is to open a gift on Christmas Eve with her sister.
"We always open one present, and it's always pajamas." Even now, she says, "We both open it up, and we both run as fast as we can into my parents' room and we change into our pajamas, and those are the ones we sleep in on Christmas Eve."
Lady Antebellum will perform songs from their new hit holiday album, On This Winter's Night on CMA Country Christmas, which premieres Dec. 20 (ABC, 9 p.m. ET/PT).
