On Monday, Volquest.com is reporting that former Vols quarterback Tee Martin is in Knoxville with his family to talk to Butch Jones about joining his coaching staff.

Update 6:34 p.m.

Vols new head football coach Butch Jones is hitting the ground hard during his first full 48 hours on the job.

10News contributor Volquest.com reported that Jones has reached out to former UT quarterback Tee Martin and offered him a job on his staff.  This comes with no surprise, because during Friday's press conference, Jones said he would definitely reach out to Tee Martin.  Martin is currently the wide receivers coach under former UT coach Lane Kiffin at University of Southern California.

According to Volquest.com, Jones has added secondary coach Willie Martinez to his staff Sunday.  Most recently, Martinez coached at Auburn.  Martinez is the fourth coach hired by UT in the past 48 hours.  Volquest.com reported Jones will bring along his defensive coordinator John Jancek and defensive line coach Steve Stripling.  Volquest.com also expects offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian from Cincinnati will join Jones on Rocky Top.

On Saturday, Jones fired his entire defensive staff, including defensive coordinator Sal Sunseri, cornerback coach Derrick Ainsley, safeties coach John Conklin and defensive line coach John Palermo.

According to Volquest.com, Jones will let go of offensive coordinator Jim Chaney as well.

As of now, the only member of the current staff Jones held onto is running backs coach Jay Graham.  Volquest.com believes, however,  the rest of the offensive assistants will not be retained.

Jones' decision to keep Graham is not surprising after he mentioned in Friday's press conference that he thinks it's important to have former vols on the staff. Graham was a running back for the UT back in the mid-90s.
