Police search for three aggravated buglary suspects near UT campus

Knoxville Police Department is investigating an aggravated burglary at 1301 Bridge Avenue near the University of Tennessee's campus.

The burglary was reported at approximately 8:35 p.m. Saturday.  The victim, a UT student, told authorities he allowed three unknown men to come into his apartment in the Fort Sanders neighborhood campus.  According to a UT Police Department release, one of the suspects pulled out a shotgun and stole items from the victim. The three suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Authorities said no one was injured in the burglary.

The victim said all the suspects were between the ages of 18 and 20 years old.  Two of the suspects were were approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, weigh 180 pounds and were wearing ski masks. One of the these two suspects wore a black jacket and a pump shotgun. The other wore a black beanie.

The victim said the third suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and was called "Rod" during the burglary. "Rod" weighs approximately 250 pounds and is 6 feet tall.
