Thousands of people attended Wallace Memorial Baptist Church's "Living Christmas Tree" over the weekend.
In two days, nearly 5,500 people attended the decades-old tradition. The performance featured a cast of hundred people and showcased popular Christmas songs. Wallace Memorial Baptist senior pastor Mike Boyd said his church has the oldest and longest running "Living Christmas Tree" in East Tennessee.
"It's the grand-daddy of them all," said Boyd. "This is the original 'Living Christmas Tree' in part of the country."
This year marked the 39th anniversary of its first performance.
