A Knoxville florist helped decorate the nation's most popular residence.

"Everyone working there loves their job and everybody goes the extra mile.  To be around those people who are the best at what they do, I just really felt energized," said Mary Beth Reagan, co-owner of The Flower Pot.

Reagan was one of 100 volunteers who spent five days preparing the White House for Christmas.

The florist said crews spent two days preparing items off-site and three days inside the residence assembling designs.

The florist will share holiday decorating tips and tricks she learned at the White House during a workshop to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Participants will create a Christmas centerpiece to take home.  The $35 event will be held Thursday, December 13th at 6:00 p.m. at The Flower Pot at 700 S. Gay Street.

You can register for the workshop by emailing info@knoxvilleflowerpot.com or by leaving a message on their Facebook page.
