A woman's boyfriend is now being accused of her murder, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
John Giles, Jr., 61 was indicted Wednesday on first degree murder charges in the death of Kimberly Ann Batty, 58.
Last Month, Batty was discovered dead in her home at 154 Dovenshire Dr. in Cumberland County. Giles had called 911, claiming to have just found her body.
When officers responded, they found her lying in her living room with blunt force trauma to the head and signs of strangulation. The sheriff's office says a homicide investigation began a short while after.
The sheriff's office says Batty and Giles had been in a relationship for about four months prior to the incident.
Giles is being held in the Cumberland County Justice Center on a $2 million bond. His arraignment is scheduled for January 25.
