A Channel 10 favorite and voice of "The Heartland Series" met with fans on Friday in Dandridge.
Thomas Tavern Gifts and Some Shop hosted a book signing featuring Bill Landry and his Appalachian Tales and Heartland Adventures. The book chronicles the behind-the-scenes stories of the Heartland Series.
Landry hosted, narrated and co-produced the show, which ran for 25 years on WBIR. The series won four Emmy awards, two of which Landry won for direction.
"I love the books and I love the Heartland Series. It's been wonderful," he said.
A special Heartland Series will air Saturday night on Channel 10 at 7:00. It features Bill Landry's visit to the Museum of Appalachia.
