The Museum of Appalachia hosted its first-ever "Southern Bountiful Feast" Sunday afternoon.
The big meal featured favorite country style cooking for the holidays. President of Museum of Appalachia Elaine Meyer said there was something tasty for everyone.
"We are having all kinds of wonderful country food things that people would have had: chicken in dumplings, country ham, roast beef and gravy, deviled eggs, all the wonderful desserts, salads, and all this kind of stuff in celebration of Christmas," said Meyer.
After the feast, folks took a tour of the museum's Christmas decorations, which included popcorn strings, sycamore calls and paper chains.
People can enjoy the old-fashioned Christmas at the museum through the end of the month. The museum through the end of December. The museum will be open daily from 9 a.m. 5 p.m. expect Christmas day.
