Crushed: Why the Boys You Like Never Like You Back
Actress Kiersten Lyons is bringing her one-woman play Crushed: Why the Boys You Like Never Like You Back to Knoxville on Monday, Dec. 17.
The comedy takes a look at Lyons' awkward and comedic past experiences with love. It is rated PG-13 for some adult content and a few choice words.
The performance begins at 8 p.m. at Remedy Coffee in Knoxville. Tickets cost $15 at the door.
Austin-East Roadrunners Commercial Cooking Class
Jasmine Riddles won this semester's End of Course Competition. She prepared an Italian wedding-themed dinner that included grilled steak, bruschetta, asparagus, roasted new potatoes and red velvet cake with cream cheese icing.
Orlando Paige participated in this year's Gingerbread House Competition.
Holidays at the Knoxville Zoo
The Knoxville Zoo hosts Santa's Village through Friday, Dec. 21.
It's open from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Pilot Special Exhibits Building.
Children can visit with Santa and take a picture with him and enjoy holiday crafts and activities.
The village also includes a Secret Santa Gift Shop where the zoo's youngest guests can shop for friends and family.
Admission to Santa's Village is included with general zoo admission, which is discounted through Feb. 28.
Visitors can enter the zoo at half-price during the months of December, January and February.
Connie's Kitchen is located at 10231 Chapman Hwy., Seymour, TN 37865.
The restaurant is open from 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Sunday. It is closed on Mondays.
