The Human Animal Bond in Tennessee program, or H.A.B.I.T., at the University of Tennessee School of Veterinary Medicine allows humans and animals to interact and comfort and encourage each other.
H.A.B.I.T animals visit places like nursing homes, assisted-living residences, retirement centers, mental health centers, residences for children with special needs and rehabilitation facilities. They've also been brought in to places like the University of Tennessee campus, to help students de-stress during busy times like move-in week and finals week.

Ijams' Arboretum Trail
Ijams Nature Center and the Knoxville Garden Club teamed up for a new arboretum trail experience at Ijams.
The Arboretum Trail winds from the Visitor Center over to the Home Site and features 38 species of trees.
The trail also commemorates the Garden Club of America's Centennial Celebration in 2013.
Signs are posted to identify the trees and help visitors better understand the diversity of trees throughout the park and in East Tennessee.
