MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- A former Memphis school teacher has been sentenced to eight years of probation on sex charges.
According to The Commercial Appeal 25-year-old Darrin Miller entered "best interest" pleas Tuesday to three counts of sexual solicitation of a minor. He also pleaded guilty to four counts of solicitation of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Police arrested Miller in November 2011 after at least a half-dozen teenage boys said he drove up to them as they walked to school and offered them money for sex.
At the time, Miller was a teacher at Sheffield High School. Police said the students were 13-17 years old. None were in Miller's classes.
The incidents occurred between November 2010 and November 2011
Miller has been in jail for 13 months and will be released Feb. 28.
