Knoxville police searching for Fort Sanders armed robbery suspects

The Knoxville Police Department is asking the public for help finding two men they say robbed three people at apartments in the Fort Sanders neighborhood.  

The two male victims said they were at Townsite Apartments on Laurel Avenue to find a female friend.  Both are from Knoxville.  According to a KPD press release, they told police two masked males came around the side of the building.  The suspects then approached the group brandishing a handgun demanding the men's wallets and the woman's purse.

When the men resisted, one of the suspects struck Parrot in the face cutting his nose.

Police say the suspects then ran heading north in the neighborhood.  

The female victim left the scene before police could speak to her.

Police are looking for the two suspects. They are described as two males, one black and one white.  The black male was described as 6'-6'2", 180lbs in his mid-20's wearing a black bandanna on face, red hooded sweatshirt, black ball cap, and dark jeans. The white male was described as 6', 170lbs in his mid-20's wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and also wore a bandanna on face.
