Greg Bell asked, "Todd, what is the largest snow we have had on record? How about the year that had the most snowfalls?"

Thanks for your question, Greg.

To find the biggest snowfall on record in Knoxville, you have to go back 60 years. The biggest snow on record was 18.2 inches on November 21st and 22nd in 1952.

The most snow in one season was 56.7 inches in the 1959-1960 season.

Now that's a lot of snow. In the last 30 years, Knoxville has only averaged 6.5 inches of snow a year.
