Two people found dead at a Sevier County property died as a result of a murder-suicide, according to the sheriff.
William B. Davis, 51, and Shannon F. Whaley, 52, were found deceased at a residence on New Era Rd., sheriff Ron Seals said.
Investigators believe Davis killed Whaley, who was his mother-in-law, then took his own life in a camper on the property. There had been an ongoing dispute between the two, the sheriff said.
Investigators are awaiting the results of autopsies.
