Thanks to several donations and volunteers, hundreds at a Christmas meal for free at the Elk's Lodge in Oak Ridge on Christmas Day.
Last year, they served around 200 people, and they were hoping for an even larger turnout this Christmas.
Organizers say Tuesday's meal was meant to promote community fellowship and to help those who may need it.
"Just giving back. Just helping someone. Just putting a smile on someone's face knowing that we may have made a difference. That's the whole purpose of it is helping somebody," said Tiffany Ledford.
Organizers also had warm clothes and free toys for kids.
