MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- A Memphis family lost their home on Christmas but say they are thankful just to be alive.
Wind toppled a large tree into the kitchen of Reginald Buntyn, his girlfriend Rebecca Miller and her son.
Buntyn told WMC-TV that Miller had just fixed plates of Christmas dinner and brought them into the dining room when the tree fell.
Firefighters responded to the home, making sure everyone was OK and turning off the gas.
For now, the family will have to find somewhere else to stay. But they said they feel blessed despite the Christmas disaster.
Buntyn said he thanks God that they were all able to escape unharmed.
