A Knox County sheriff's deputy was involved in a mid-day crash on Interstate 40 Wednesday afternoon.
It happened at 12:37 near West Town Way at the West Hills exit, according to sheriff's spokeswoman Martha Dooley.
She said the deputy was transported to UT Medical Center as a precaution.
The name of the deputy was not released. No word on charges against the other driver.
