Christmas has come and gone. Its time to get ready for those New Year's resolutions. One of mine is to get out and do more fun activities like ice skating down on Market Square's Holiday On Ice. If skating isn't your thing, we have plenty of ideas for you in this week's 10 About Town.

Its the last weekend for the Holiday Festival Of Lights at the Cove. Today through Saturday, from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Concord Park, enjoy lights, crafters, hot chocolate, kettle corn...the list goes on. Pets on leashes are welcome.

If one of your New Year's resolutions is to watch more sports...well, this weekend you're in luck. Tonight, the Knoxville Ice Bears take on the Columbus Cottonmouths at 7:30PM at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum.  Attendants are encouraged to bring gift donations for East Tennessee Children's Hospital and Toys For Tots. It's also Thousand Dollar Thursday, where one lucky fan will win a thousand bucks off of a random ticket draw!

The Lady Vols look to get back on track at home this Friday as they host Davidson. Tip off will be at 7:00PM at Thompson Boling Arena.

On Saturday, it's the Men's turn as they battle against Xavier. If you can't make it to the game, it will be broadcast on ESPNU. Game starts at 6:00PM.

The Ice Bears are back at home Saturday as they take on the Mississippi Riverkings. Sign up now for Kids Run The Show,  where kids get to run key features of the game. Puck drops at 7:30PM.

Knoxville based music group 10 Years, is coming home to the Tennessee Theatre. Indulge in the sounds of this truly unique hard-rock band. Tickets are $25. Doors open at 7:00PM.

The R.K. Gun Show will be held at Chilhowee Park in the Jacob building. Showtimes include Friday from 1:00PM to 6:00PM, Saturday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM and Sunday from 9:00AM to 4:00PM.

Holiday On Ice at Market Square runs through January 6th. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children. Be sure to hit the ice before time runs out!

We wrap up the weekend with the Lady Vols at home against Rutgers. The game will be broadcast on SportSouth. Tip off is at 1:00PM.

I hope you have a happy new year and if you have a weekend event you'd like me to highlight, just email me at ten about
