A generous donation from East Tennessee will help decorate the graves of fallen military members across the country next holiday season.

Pilot Flying J gave $100,000 to Wreaths Across America. The money came from coffee travel mug sales throughout the year. Three dollars from each sale went to the national group.

The organization places wreaths on the graves of veterans during the holiday season.

Pilot contributed to the organization because they say the group reflects their company values.

"Their mission of remember, honor and teach is something that we hold dear to our hearts also, and also the trucking industry is so involved in the program we wanted to help support them through this program," said Wendy Hamilton.

The local chapter of the organization received a separate gift of $2,500 from Pilot.

This season, they raised enough money to put wreaths on 1,000 veterans' graves in Knox County. The organization would like to have enough money each year to decorate each of the 14,000 veterans' headstones in area cemeteries.
