Dozens of East Tennesseans waited in long lines Friday in East Knoxville, hoping to buy or sell guns and knives.
The Knoxville Gun and Knife Show started Friday at the Chilhowee Park and Exposition Center in East Knoxville.
A buyer we spoke with says he came to the event to look for ammunition. He says the lines are the longest he's ever seen at this event, and he thinks all the recent national attention on guns fueled the interest.
"I think it's the frenzy going on. You know, everyone's trying to buy everything they can, and then they're trying to sell everything they can for high dollar," said David Allen.
The show continues Saturday from nine to five, and Sunday from nine to four.
