It looks like the first day of 2013 will be a rainy one, but the good news is, the rain shouldn't arrive until after midnight.
Clouds will increase steadily throughout the day on Monday, with a chance for a few light showers in the afternoon. The chance for rain increases as the night goes on, but it looks like it shouldn't arrive until the overnight hours, so if you are ringing in the New Year, chances are you will be dry. Highs should reach the low 50s during the day.
On New Year's Day, expect widespread showers across the area as a cold front begins to move in, dropping temperatures and bringing the chance of a wintery mix in the higher elevations Tuesday night.
The rest of the week looks dry and sunny!
