East Tennesseans are getting ready to ring in 2013 with a variety of events.

In downtown Knoxville, celebrations will be scaled back from years past, but the ice rink in Market Square will be open until midnight.

Kids can also get their faces painted and bungee jump.

Midnight will feature fireworks and a ball drop, plus there are a variety of concerts in various downtown Knoxville venues.

The hometown band The Dirty Guv'nahs" are playing at the Tennessee Theatre at 8:00 pm.  Tickets cost $32.

The Knoxville Museum of Art and Preservation Pub are also hosting live music.
