A Kentucky man is now charged with murder, more than 2 weeks after fatally injuring another man.
Whitley County Sheriff Colan Harrell says Samuel Plotnick, 35, of Williamsburg, was charged with second degree assault on December 15. Investigators say Plotnick struck Jimmy Dean Peace, 55, of Corbin, several times, causing severe head wounds and internal injuries.
Peace died at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington on Wednesday. Harrell says Plotnick's charges were upgraded to murder on Thursday.
