Another new restaurant is opening in Maryville.

Bistro 109 will soon open in the old Tomato Head building on West Broadway Avenue. The owner, Dustin Manning of Manning Design Concepts, hopes to open the doors to the new restaurant sometime between February and April, depending on when the paperwork is approved.

All sorts of food will be offered, including a vegan menu, at reasonable prices.

Manning said, "We wanted it very reasonable for everyone to afford, but that it's very upscale and ritzy feeling so that you can go out and have that midday rendezvous with your husband or can meet the girlfriends and you can gossip over a glass of wine or you know just have a business meeting." He continued, "We want you to feel that you are at your favorite place when you go on vacation and to have someone wait on you hand and foot and give you the attention you need."

The new Bistro 109 will be open seven days a week and Manning is hoping to have live music on weekend nights.

Neighboring businesses were happy to learn about Bistro 109's opening. They're hoping it will bring more foot traffic to their businesses.

Pat Sunderland with Capitol Theatre said, "The more foot traffic downtown, the better for downtown and it's a nice environment. It's a nice little area. There's lots to do. We have candy, we have coffee. So we have some nice little desserts to go along with after dinner."

Also expected to open very soon in downtown Maryville is a new Barley's. Randy Burleson, who owns the Barley's location in the Old City, expects to open the Maryville restaurant sometime this spring.
