Family member IDs man found wearing only a coat

Update 7:15 pm.  According to Knoxville Police, minutes after the man's picture appeared on the 6 pm news, several people, including a family member, called to identify the man.  They are releasing no further information.

Knoxville Police are asking for help in identifying a man who was found wearing only a jacket early Tuesday morning.

Police were sent to McTeer St. at Belmont Heights Ave. on an indecent exposure call around 6:00 am.  They found a white man, aged 30-40, sitting on the edge of the road.  He had on an orange and white UT jacket, but nothing else.  He could not, or would not, speak to the officers.

He was taken to a local hospital to be checked out.

The man has a tattoo of a skull with a helmet on his right forearm, a tattoo of a dragon on the left side of his chest and a tattoo of a wizard on the right side of his chest. He has brown hair and blue/hazel eyes.

If anyone can identify the man, they are asked to contact the Knoxville Police Department's crime information line at 865-215-7212 or 911. Callers can remain anonymous.
