(AP) A 2-year-old missing from Middle Tennessee has been found safe after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert for him.
Cael Whitehead was recovered safely Wednesday afternoon, more than 150 miles from his home in Houston County northwest of Nashville.
Authorities told WSMV-TV that his father, 23-year-old Austin Whitehead, was taken into custody.
Sheriff's officials said three truck drivers who knew about the Amber Alert spotted Whitehead's car traveling on Interstate 24 in Marion County, northwest of Chattanooga.
Authorities said the truckers were able to box in the car and force it to stop.
The alert had described Whitehead as threatening suicide and a danger to others.
Update: 3:50 pm. TBI has canceled the Amber Alert. They say Cael has been located and Austin Whitehead is in custody.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued an AMBER alert for a missing two-year-old boy from Houston County.
Cael Whitehead was last seen at his home at 9 a.m. Wednesday. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Cael weighs about 35 pounds and is about 2 feet 6 inches tall.
Authorities believe Cael is with his father, Austin Whitehead, 23. Austin has green eyes and brown hair. He weighs about 170 pounds and is 6 feet tall.
Austin is believed to be driving a green 2003 Pontiac Grand AM with Georgia license plate number #BYQ 0161. He may be heading toward the Covington, Georgia area.
Authorities said Austin has made suicidal threats in the past and may be a threat to others.
