  • Two Liberty Tax workers watch the machine move down Magnolia Avenue.

A 200 Ton box is moving through Knoxville Thursday and Friday.  It traveled 8,000 miles from Belgium to get here.

Traffic and people stopped in their tracks as it passed by businesses while traveling down major roadways.

So what is the machine?  It's a cyclotron.

It will be used in proton therapy for cancer patients which is an alternative to radiation.

The machine's home will be the Provision Center for Proton Therapy being built at Dowell Springs.
