Tonight at the Preservation Pub, The Appleseed Collective brings you a unique blend of swing, bluegrass, dixieland and gypsy folk. Show starts at 8:00pm.

The Laurel Theater has square dancing and traditional appalachian dance tonight starting at 7:30pm. Prices are $5 to $7 and each session begins with a half-hour instruction for beginners. On Saturday, Morristown native Wallace Coleman brings his harmonica for a night of blues music. Tickets are $14.

Enjoy progressive bluegrass at its finest with the Colorado-based quartet, Yonder Mountain String Band performing tonight at the Tennessee Theatre. Tickets are $25 for all ages. Show starts at 8:00pm.

Fans of Americana don't want to miss legendary songwriter Guy Clark tonight at the Bijou. The show begins at 8:00pm with admission set at $26.50.

The Lady Vols take on the Mizzou Tigers tonight at Thompson Boling Arena. You can view the game on Sports South. Game starts at 8:00pm.

The southern soul sound of Blue Mother Tupelo will be headlining Friday at Boyd's Jig and Reel in the Old City. Tickets are $5.

Catch a live performance of the classic musical West Side Story this weekend at the Tennessee Theatre. Check www.tenesseetheatre.com for showtimes and be advised that the production shall utilize strobe lighting and haze.

The Knoxville Ice Bears have two home games this weekend. The first bout is set for Friday night against the Mississippi Surge followed by a match versus the Columbus Cottonmouths on Saturday. Both games start at 7:30pm.

If you thought Thompson Boling was loud when the Vols play, wait till you hear it filled with monster trucks! The Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam will be this Friday at Saturday at 7:30pm. Tickets range from $20 to $40 and can be purchased at the arena box office or online at www.knoxvilletickets.com.

Also Friday and Saturday, head to the Knoxville Convention Center for the Knoxville Healthy Living Expo. Admission is $10. Doors open at 9:00am.

The Knoxville RV Super Show will be held at the Sevierville Convention Center Friday through Sunday starting at 10:00am. The show features over a mile's worth of RV's under one roof. Tickets are $7. Kids under 12 get in free.

The UT Gardens are a flurry of activity this weekend. On Saturday, explore the survival skills of evergreens, conifers, birds and other animals during this chilly time of year. On Sunday, join Dr. Sue Hamilton for "Garden Talk" as she tackles the subject of "The Beautiful Winter Landscape".

And finally, the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will perform, Hail Britannia, at 2:30pm Sunday at the Bijou Theatre. For tickets, go to www.knoxvillesymphony.com.
