Police say a man who was stabbed in a north Knoxville fight knew the suspect.
The stabbing happened around 10:30 p.m. in a parking lot on the 4800 block of N. Broadway.
When officers arrived, they found 33-year-old Joshua Barnebey of Knoxville with two small stab wounds on the left side of his back. Barnebey was treated at Physicians Regional for the non-life threatening injuries.
While police say Barnebey was uncooperative with officers, he did tell them that he was driving his car through the parking lot when the suspect threw a rock at him.
After Barnebey got out of his car to confront the rock thrower, they got into a fight.
A police spokesman says in a press release that Barnebey may not prosecute.
